VISA OPTIONS

1. Student Visa (Subclass 500)

• Required for international students pursuing full-time study in Australia.
• Application steps:
• Obtain a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from your education provider.
• Apply online via the Department of Immigration and Border Protection website.
• Benefits:
• Work up to 48 hours per fortnight during study periods and full-time during breaks.
• Include family members or partners in your visa application.
• Partners of Master’s level students are granted full work rights.

2. Student Guardian Visa (Subclass 590)

• For guardians of student visa holders under 18 or those needing exceptional care.
• Key conditions:
• No work permitted.
• Limited study (up to 3 months).
• Maintain health insurance.
• Must remain with the student or arrange alternative care.

3. Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485)

• For graduates to live, study, and work in Australia temporarily.
• Streams:
• Graduate Work Stream: For occupations on the skills list (valid for 18 months).
• Post-Study Work Stream: For higher education graduates (valid for up to 4 years).
• Requirements:
• Must be under 50 years of age.
• Evidence of English proficiency and health insurance.

4. General Skilled Migration (GSM)
